having hsv1 takes the "edge" off of a newly acquired hsv2 infection so that you are less likely to have a very obvious initial ob. other than that, it doesn't seem to have much of an effect.
Grace I have been reading that If you have the HSV 1 Prior to HSV 2 infection it seems to kinda keep the HSV 2 in control is that true? I have accepted the fact that I am positive now curious on why no symptoms. I have not passed this to any of my previous bF's either.I am getting the western blot just as a second confirmation...I will post my + results when they come lol
no idea where you can get one. you can try calling the biokit folks and seeing if anyone locally orders the test from them.
Grace i was wondering if you knew where in MN i can get a Biokit that rapid testing just for HSV 2.. I know it is a long shot but I just want a second positive on that HSV2 just being I have no symptoms as you know. I know any indexes >5 they say are def +.Then you said this."typically having hsv1 is what causes the false positives on today's igg tests, not other infections." I tryed to talk my doctor in to ordering the WB...She said I need to except it and move on...I am honestly trying but with no symptoms and being sick I just can not..I explained being as the WB is 99 accurate if i tested + I told her I would just get over it...and nothing urgg She wont so the next step is the Bio kit..
ok Just wracking my brain thank you!!!
the parts of the herpes virus that the current igg tests look for are pretty specific and aren't really influenced much by other infections. typically having hsv1 is what causes the false positives on today's igg tests, not other infections.
