shingles in my eye

thanks in advance...

well... long story short, i had a patch of broken blisters on my arm and ended up rubbing my eye.  the discharge/fluid did make its way (contact) into my eye.  NOTE: fluid did get into my eye... i took (1) generic acyclovir (400 mg) tab and (1) prednisone (20 mg) tab a couple of minutes after.  i do not/did not have anymore lying around...

what are my chances of self inoculation?  how can i check this through a healthcare provider?  or must i wait until an initial outbreak on my face.

thanks again.

it would be unusual for shingles to occur more than once.  occurring on multiple body parts over time is even more unusual. sounds like you need to start following up with a good dermatologist for better answers as to what is going on with your body.

the initial time/diagnosis... yes... when i had them else where on my body.  however, i used them all.

the pills i had/have at the moment, were for my wife... she has hsv2.  i took her pills.  i have time to see a MD, just no money/insurance... hence, i am asking here.

also did they give you a full course of antivirals in the shingles doses for your shingles?

if this is shingles, it's not a real issue from you rubbing your eyes.  shingles is a reactivation of a prior chicken pox infection and it's not something you would spread all over your body.
