IGG HERPESELECT AB 2.83 H   INDEX                  INTERPRETATION      -----                  ------------- LESS THAN 0.90              NEGATIVE FOR ANTIBODIES                             TO HSV-1 IGG  0.90 - 1.10                EQUIVOCAL GREATER THAN 1.10           POSITIVE This assay utilizes recombinant type-specific antigens to differentiate HSV-1 from HSV-2 infections. A positive result cannot distinguish between recent and past infection. If recent HSV infection is suspected but the results are negative or equivocal, the assay should be repeated in 4-6 weeks. The performance characteristics of the assay have not been established for pediatric populations, immunocompromised patients or neonatal screening.

The igm test is a bad test for herpes.

Was the pcr test a blood test or a lesion culture of active genital symptoms?

you had a herpes igm test which was a complete waste of time.  It's positive but that means nothing. It's not an accurate test and should never be drawn .  http://www.medhelp.org/posts/show/248394  is a good post for more reading.
