vagina help- herpes or yeast?

I have been feeling itchey in my vagina for the past weeks (maybe 3 or more?") I use clotrimazole cream for it and it helps but then it starts back up. The past week or so during a self exam , I found a small red looking bump on the side of my vagina hole opening (left side) I watched it closely it wasn't burning or anything just a little irritated , a few days later I felt really sick ( a major head ache /slight fever) but it only lasted for a couple hours , now all I'm doing is sneezing a lot , and I feel conjested with a runny nose , I don't know if this is a herpes symptom or just a cold I haven't had sex sense around june which was 10 months ago , and I have been feeling alittle stressed , so did it trigger the herpes? I've also had a lot of thick white discharge (cottage cheese like) and the bump is gone but I still feel like there's something there I'm just not sure if its a sore or if its just the ridges of my vagina opening nd there just irritated? I'm 18 years of age and I'm really scared and stressing about this and I can't go to a doctor right now , but any advice to help me or put my mind at ease , thanks

imbalance in the Ph in your vaginal would be a likely reason. Could be soap, underwear  and a host of things that come into contact down there. Sometimes we might need some prescription type wash to help. I think its time to see your gyno about this. Its always good to have a checkup once in a while.

Okay thank you , that eased my worry a bit but do you have any idea why the yeast is happening over and over? Its not severe as the very first one I had but they are pretty uncomfortable

Hi, most often these red bumps develop with a yeast infection and are fungal related. When herpes sores appear they are most often clear liquid filled not just a red bump.
If your concerned about herpes have a blood test or a swab of a new sore to confirm but the sore must be swabbed within 48 hours after appearing.
