vaginal sores

I seriously need help, after I had sex my vagina was sore, I wasn't worried because I know that's a body's natural reaction to having sex, but later on in the week I realized I have been more sore than normally, I went and checked myself and I realized on the inside of my vagina I had sores, they resemble cold sores like in the mouth, but in my genital area. I've never had unprotected sex, my partner always used a condom, I was almost positive that he didn't have herpes but now I'm beginning to worry. I haven't had sex much and I am very nervous go to a doctor. The sores are small and they are mildly painful. Could they just be a reaction to vaginal tears or is it something else? I need all the advice I can get! And if there is any kind of ointment I could get to make these go away please comment!

Hi, if a condom was used then getting sores inside your vagina would not be possible. However if he has oral hsv1 which many people do, it could be contracted that way and in the area you mentioning. Best to have them swabbed within 48 hours and a blood test. This is to rule out herpes as may be what your mentioning, just some friction tears.

If your partner have HSV . So , it is a contagious virus and can be contracted through sexual activity ,.. vaginal sores are one of the HSV symptoms ,

It is a harmless virus , but it has no cure yet ,. The medication just decreases the outbreaks ..

If they look like cold sores, get to the doctor to be examined and tested.  Cold sores are caused by a different strain of the same virus that causes herpes.  A herpes diagnosis is not the end of the world, and it would be better to know than risk spreading it to future partners because you never tested and don't know how to look out for a flare-up.
