I am new on this and am really having a hard time. I posted earlier today and have not received any help.. Please help

Please see my post from earlier today.. I am having a bunch of symptoms that maybe coincidental, in my head, or apparent symptoms for the obvious reasons... I am borderline a hypochondriac as well and am having anxiety attacks daily because of this.. I need to find out one way or the other so i can begin to move on. I realize I cannot be given an answer on here, but possibly people can read my case and give me their opinion..It would be greatly appreciated... my main concerns.. other than the fact that I cannot really see how there is any possibility I dodged the bullet when there was a scab on her lip and she gave me oral for a long time.. are some scattered pimples/slight reddening on around my mouth... but not really blatant pimples (i have had similar occurrences), some random feelings of itch and tingle but slight and possibly imagined by my brain... tiny small pimples on my penis.. flesh colored.. barely raised and very very hard to see (two doctors said it was def. not herpes).. and I had a sore mouth for a day or so with infected signs..and now have slightly swollen glands in my throat.. Please read my other post.. and help me by giving your opinion..Thank you so much.

so many things this could be other than herpes. you were seen and they didn't feel these were herpes related either.  herpes really is not the only germ out there I assure you.

Hi Grace,

This will be the last post I make on this thread, and possibly for good, unless I get full blown obvious symptoms. But I do want to know your opinion on my inflamed mouth, swollen neck glands, slight pain in groin area, and overall achy/crappy feeling sans lesions/blisters/heavy rashes/etc. Doesn't the fact that I had this encounter, and now all of a sudden have these symptoms indicate a more than likely possibility that I contracted Herpes, and since I have groin pain it is probably genital? In other words, what is the correlation of the former symptoms in regards to the "tell-tale" symptoms (blisters/lesions/etc)? This is sort of what I really need to know and I felt the dermatologist didn't do the full job by basically disregarding my concerns. Thank you and upon response this thread is complete and has been useful to me. My many thanks.

Ok. So good news and bad news. Good news is that I saw the Dermatologist and he looked at the rash and said it was def. not herpes. I told him my whole story, but he kind of rushed me, and wasn't interested in details. He said it was irritation and irritation on my mouth as well. Absolutely not a sign of herpes. So I def. felt some relief.

Bad news is that he said things that puzzled me a little bit. HE said that if I haven't seen symptoms by now that the chances are more than likely I didn't contract it, which basically goes against what I have been reading about Herpes (in that it generally doesn't appear right away). He also really didn't pay any regard to the fact that my mouth just so happened to be very inflamed just a week ago, and that my glands have been swollen, and that I do feel dull pain and slight burn in my genital area (as I have read these are all symptoms that precede an initial outbreak). Lastly, he said that I should not even bother with an IGG test or any test until I get an outbreak. None of that seems right to me... what do you make of this?? Also. I am planning on taking an IGG test a few days after the 4th week from final encounter... is this advisable? or should I wait longer? Lastly.. what should I do about possible encounters upcoming? I do have a few potentials that I might be getting together with soon and don't know how to proceed (with kissing or any sexual activity) given all this.. Again... I am very thankful for your advice/input.

seeing the dermatologist today is the best course of action. really it still doesn't sound like herpes going on.

Grace,

I apologize. I didn't mean it to sound the way it did, its just I have been extremely stressed out and frustrated about all this. I do appreciate your input and volunteer work and same goes for everyone else. I was just surprised that I gave such a detailed explanation and really no one else gave any input also. I am sorry for the way it sounded, this has just been really tough on me.

While at this point I am willing to admit I have been jumping the gun on little things and getting very nervous and posting these symptoms.. I want to say now that I fear I have my first real symptom, atl east I want to say what is going on currently and get knowledgeable opinions. the last few days I have been feeling a dull aching pain in my left groin area, in between my thigh and testicles.. and now there is redness and sort of a weak burn and weak pain. No signs of blisters yet though. My question is.. is this the start of an outbreak? Or do I need to see rampant white blisters for confirmation of herpes..? I am really confused on this one..and am now extremely extremely nervous. I am going to see a dermatologist today but any immediate opinion I can get on this might calm me down for the next few hours. As always, I appreciate it!

Please read our read before posting post if you haven't already. this forum is staffed by volunteers. I know for myself, I work full time, have a family and can't always get to the forum!

Nothing you've described sounds like oral herpes.

Seems like I am talking to myself here, but I dont mind it because maybe someone is relating to this, or learning about their own situation from this.. who knows. I just found out that most likely the these tiny white dots on my lip and possibly the tiny dots on my penis are something called Fordyce's Condition. I just stumbled upon this and seen pictures and read other's assessment of it on their own body and its almost a dead match. This does not totally calm my fears of possible herpes contraction, however, I am somewhat relieved at the moment. I am going to see a dermatologist tomorrow and get to the bottom of this.

What will an outbreak look like on my face? I have a few scattered little red dots on near my mouth.. one or two that came to a small white head-cant tell if its just a normal every day pimple or another symptom.. I feel like I have had this before.. like pimples that dont turn to whiteheads..and I feel like they itch occasionally.then on the corner crevices of my mouth now I see a cluster of tiny white pore looking dots.. these havent itched or burned or anything like that.. and I also feel like under my nose I have similar pore looking circles that do itch/burn a little. I have never had a complexion problem with my face.. most I ever really got was a pimple here and there.. Im reallly going insane.. Please give advice soon. thanks and I really really appreciate it.

Thank you for your help as well.. This has been very hard on me despite the knowledge that herpes is common and my life won't end.. I am however a slight germ-a-phoebe and I def have OCD. so it has been wearing me down.

Sorry for making a new post.. didn't know how to bump up the post as this is my second day on this forum.

I have been to two doctors.. my primary 4 times and a dermatologist once.. The first two times though consisted of telling my story the day after the last encounter and a blood test to see if I ever had HSV 1 or 2 to begin with - and the follow up to find out that it was negative (as I figured because I have never had an issue with cold sores, etc.). The next two visits were last week when i had possible signs of symptoms.. The throat soreness the doctor dismissed as not related (i don't see how it can be dismissed that easily). and both the primary and the dermatologist disregarded the small pimples on my penis as  (Primary- possibly molloscum, Dermatologist- Nothing). Both dismissed these tiny little pimples I have on my mouth as well.. However, i feel the last day or so they are increasingly scattered around the corners of my mouth and even a little on my chin and cheek.. It doesnt look like any other pictures I have seen of Herpes before and it has not materialized into blisters or cold sores.. And the Primary said its more than likely I am imagining feelings such as the slight itch/occasional dull pain in my groin.

Also.. as I understand.. lack of symptoms do not necessarily indicate that I dodged the bullet also.. correct? Providing my testimony of occurrences.. is it more than likely.. very probable, or highly unlikely that I contracted Herpes from these series of events? You did say odds are very low.. is that because of my lack of symptoms? or just considering it was a scab?

My final say is.. I just don't see how I could have gotten the swollen throat and for a night, extremely sore mouth, some small red pimples and redness around my mouth with perceived slight feelings of itch/tingle, and given she had a scab and was all over my mouth and groin.... how could I have not contracted herpes?

please read our read before posting post on this forum. we ask that you just keep bumping up your post, not making multiple new ones. thanks!

you've been seen by 5 doctors now. you are worried about symptoms that you have to really work to see.  The odds that you contracted herpes from this encounter are very low.

have you ever been tested for herpes to know your own status to see if you already have hsv1 already or not?
