valtrex and hiv test results
Does valtrex affect hiv results? Some websites claim it does affect??? I got tested 3.generation Eliza tests after using Valtrex(after 55days.) It is negative. Do I need another test?

By the way I asked for the HIV testing not HSV!! Some websites argue that valtrex affects HIV testing.
Thanks for the reply. Well if valtrex doesnt affect the results,wouldnt 55days be enough for conclusion? As doctors say 6weeks is quite enough for antihiv tests except cemotherapy patients? Am I right
Valtrex does impact HSV testing, it's proven. Anyone who says differently doesn't know what they're talking about.
You definitely need to retest after a minimum if 3 months off the valtrex.
