vulvar pain for ten days...sign of herpes>?

HI!! I've been having vulvar pain for the last ten days with absolutely no visible symptoms. No redness, no rash, no sores, leisons ulcers. Somedays my vulvar feels bruised, other days burning, or stabbing, or feels cut. But I check several times throughout the day, and there is absolutely nothing there. Its been ten days of this, and everything is looking as normal as ever. I am currently in the process of being diagnosed with interstitial cystitis, so I am aware that vuvlodynia and interstitial cystitis sometimes go hand in hand. My question is: What are the chances that this could be herpes with absolutely NO visible symptoms for ten days? Ive never been diagnosed with herpes....and Ive had two children...but not sure if I was tested or not back then, but have never had problems in the past. The pain started 10-12 days ago. Thankyou!!!

thanks grace!! I have an appt on the 26th with my GYN for my interstitial cystitis, so i plan on bringing it up then. Im keeping a journal tracking when the pain happens and stuff so I can figure this out. I have never ever had sores or lesions, so I highly doubt its herpes, I was just a little nervous. But thanks, you made me feel a little better lol

Just pain and no obvious lesions isn't likely to be due to herpes.  You need to call your urogynecologist/gyn and follow up on this.

oh and the pain gets worse as the day goes on. sitting makes it worse. Today I was virtually pain free, until I put on underwear (hadnt worn any for several days due to the pain) so stupid me decided since I wasnt in pain, i could wear underwear today. Bad idea!!!! I think this all has something to do with my bartholin;s glands, (thats where the pain is USUALLY, but not always) it can also be in my mons pubis, and major labia and minora labia. because when my elastic of my underwear rubs against my bartholins glands, it makes my pain flare...but I have never had any visual symptoms of ANYTHING. this is driving me nuts :(
