worry herpes. help
over 10 months,i didn't have sex with anyone expect my wife. and my genitals didn't fell any bad until 20days ago, i had accpeted a handjob and breast rub by a prostitute。
28th may night, i found a herpes(maybe ,i don't sure) on the skin at the end of leg near the genitals, than, 29th,i did a HSV2 DNA-PCR test , the doc userd a Cotton swab rub the affected part 。 by the way, before the herpes(maybe) be found ,i didn't feel any bad.and there was only one herpes(maybe).
the result was negative!
what makes me still worry was before i did the DNA-PCR test . the herpes was broken. i'm afraid the virus maybe can't be tested.
so ,my question is
1、HSV2 DNA PCR test is accurate？ even the herpes was broken? in our country DNA-PCR test for herpes was the first choose!
2、did i need do blood test in the future? when did the blood test is best?
3、herpes can be found on the skin at the end of leg near the genitals(not on the genitals) and only one herpes?

yes herpes lesions will heal even without treatment. not unusual for a recurrence to heal in 4 days either.

yes ,i had tested for Chlamydia Mycoplasma syphilis hiv in last years . all negative.
but i didn't test herpes,because i didn't feel any bad. so i think i need do the test.

you can seek out a type specific herpes igg blood test to see what your hsv1 and hsv2 status is. that will cover any false negatives from the pcr swab you had done.
