Aldara Question

I recently got diagnosed with HPV, I am 23 male.  I started applying the cream every other day over the entire genital area.  I applied it an the anus as well and now it is killing me! Only one spot at the part of my anus closest to the testis.  It got all swollen and seems to have a sore on it, looks like a hemorrhoid to me, but I dint know why I would have one! As if HPV didnt make me feel crappy enough, lol.  Has anyone had any similar experience with aldara on the butthole, or anywhere?
Thanks!

You should wait for a while and stop the application till the time you get a relief from pain... later you should start the application but only on the warts, visible ones only... do not put aldara on bumps you just think can be warts... you should seek a doctors advice to confirm if those are warts...

Also, if I have scabbed up over the original wart, should I wait until that spot has healed before continuing treatment, or continue use?

Thanks for your response, Yeah the derm. already talked to me. I guess they were just not clear on the proper application process and I figures that applying aldara everywhere would get rid of any warts I may not be able to see yet.  So only apply it to visible warts?

What? are you applying Aldara on entire genital area? aldara is to be applied on the warts only and not the surrounding area... did a doctor diagnose you for genital warts and prescribed Aldara for you? If not so, please see a dermatologist and first get a correct diagnoses and talk to him about application of this cream... a mild irritation, soreness and itching is part of the healing process with this cream... you should apply petrolium jelly (vaseline) or some other moisturizer to help your pain relief and... stop using aldara without talking to your dermatologist first...
