Nothing I've read has given me any reason to believe the pain he is having is from the HPV. It's hard to get anything out of the doctors he sees because he goes to a VA hospital. I'm going to make an appointment with a naturopathic doctor in my area to talk to them. The interesting thing about this situation is that my boyfriend never had an outbreak before his test. After the biopsy, not only does he have scars, but one of those scars has formed a bump on top of the scar. The doctor's never said anything about the pain being related to HPV. I asked my doctor to test me for everything including HPV (they took two syringes of blood as well as performed a pap smear) and everything came up negative. Not only that, but now there are reports out that Gardasil actually increases lesions on the cervix of women who already have HPV. I've decided as of now not to get the third vaccine. Iv'e heard a lot of people alk about regulating HPV through diet, so I'm going to check it out. That is why I am going to go see a naturopathic doctor. I'm tired of being spoon fed **** and then starved later. This whole ordeal has put a huge strain on our relationship because doctor's can't be up front, want to take what little money you have and feed you vaccine's and pills. Thank you both for your input. I will definitely let you know what I find out in a few weeks. In the meantime, if find any info out, it would be much appreciated.
you should definitely get the vaccine. Some research shows it can help even if already infected. Pain on ejaculation can be caused by an infection, not necessarily hpv. Your boyfriend needs to see a specialist if he isn't getting any relief from this doctor.
I've never heard or read of such a case where hpv causes uretheral pain with ejaculation or while urinating in men... I wasn't aware you can get the exact hpv strain type with biopsy... where did they get the lesion for biopsy from??? what has his doctor suggested as a treatement??? Did the doctor told you the pain is associated with hpv??? I know 16 & 18 are cancer causing strains but usually they've no ill effects for men... If you started gardasil shots after having sex with him, it is most likely that you also have the same strains but those are not visible on pap smears... as such you will not benefit from the vaccination against these two strains...
