Can I Get HPV From Receiving Oral?

A few months ago I was with a guy who had HPV.. And after I found out I decided it was safe to get Gardasil, but we never did anything until after I got the first vaccination. . .And never once did I touch him or anything, but he DID give me oral. . . And now I have a new boyfriend, and I'm worried I might have HPV. . .I haven't seen any signs on my genitalia, but I have these little bumps under my tongue around my frenulum and wharton's bumps. . .And I'm freaking out a little bit, because I don't know if this is normal to have or not!! But I'm only 17 and my mom didn't even know I was dating this guy at the time, so if I do go to a doctor I'll be really scared that she'll find out, cause I know she'll be really disappointed, her and my father :( Help!!

I actually had (have) oral HPV and have never transmitted it to my wife even after using my saliva to lubricate us every time we had sex. Once I was diagnosed, my Dr. suggested stopping that until after the papilloma is removed, which it was.

It's unlikely he had HPV in his mouth and oral - genital transmission is unlikely. Bumps which look like 'flaps' under your tongue along the V shape vein is normal. If he had oral HPV, gave you oral sex, then you would only have the virus in your genitals. You would need to give him oral sex to get the virus in your mouth.
