HELP! Recurrent HPV Outbreaks

My wife had been diagnosed with high risk HPV 16.  She has had recurrent genital warts outbreaks both inside and outside her vagina (including the rectal area).  She has received the HPV vaccine, and has undergone treatments monthly (photofilin) for ongoing outbreaks.  Recently, she received laser surgery for genital warts, which had serious painful side effects.  Once healed, she had another outbreak of genital warts.  This is seriously affecting our ability to have sex, and causing tremendous anxiety and stress in our marriage.  We currently live in Asia and have limited external medical resources.  What are some possible options for someone experiencing recurrent and frequent outbreaks?  Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

Has she tried having the warts treated with acid ? or havin them frozen off ? That's what I did when I had my outbreaks and I have been HPV free for 8 years. I am sorry that this is happening to you and your wife... I hope you find something that works.... Just make sure she keep's on top of it and gets treated..... That's what I did.

I don't have warts but I do have HPV.  I know that high risk HPV doesn't cause warts.  Warts are caused by the low risk hpv's.  Sounds like she is doing everything she should be doing.  In time her immune system will kick in and she won't get the warts anymore.  Is she eating right and taking a good multi-vitamin?  Maybe go to a health food store and ask them to recommend some vitamins to strengthen the immune system.  She needs to eat lots of fruits and veggies too.  Hope she feels better soon.  Hang in there.
