HPV Wart Concerns

I'm a 20 yr old female. I recently had a pap smear and pelvic exam about 4 months ago. Everything was fine. Shortly after that I noticed a small mole in my genital area, past the outer lips close to the anus. I disregarded it or chalked it up to a weird side effect of the birth control I had just started. Over the next 3 months that mole began to grow and I noticed 3 other moles on the opposite side. Recently they have become itchy and irritated and I feel a few other small bumps forming near them. I did tons of research and realized that it might be genital warts. I recently moved from the US to a country who's main std focus is HIV. I scheduled an appointment with a gyno 2 days from now. I'm concerned that they may not have sufficient knowledge about genital warts to diagnose or treat me properly. Their main course of action may be to cut them off. If this is the case would it be a good action to take? Are there any medications I could suggest to them to treat the problem?

So I pretty much underestimated the doctor here. He knew exactly what it was when he saw it. I have a follow up next week for removal. Thanks alot.

usually, warts are not itchy or irritating... you better see a dermatologist than gyno for a good diagnoses, especially if you think she might not have good knowlege about hpv in that country... he may decide to send the skin specimen for biopsy in a lab and you might get good diagnoses... once you are diagnosed, you can come back to this forum and we'll guide you with the treatment options available those you can then discuss with your doctor too...
