HPV and Garlic

I have been reading all over the internet that garlic is a good way to remove warts instead of going to the doc have having them frozen off! Is this true? Has anyone tried this? I have been taking the garlic pills (1,000mg a day) and all i see is the wart on my inner thigh changing colors? Is a wart even suppose to change colors? The bomb has gone from a bright red to skin color..

ok so i have another question. I had the hpv shot when i was 17. About 2 years ago i had that DNA test thing done because i doc thought i had genital warts. The test came back negative for type 6 and 11 but 16 and 18 came back pos. She said i won't get type 6 and 11 so thats why I'm wondering if this bump on my thigh is even a wart? it has a smooth top and not "Warty" in appearance...?

Sort of. The HPV  virus never leaves your body nor is it killed. It remains in your DNA. The 6-24 month wait is for making the virus dormant in your body so that you are not infectious at that time. There is always a chance the virus may re-activate someday (even years later) due to an immune system issue. Since women can get tested, you will know when that time comes as your GYN will say that his tests cannot detect the virus anymore.

why 6-24months? If i don't have it for that long does that mean my body killed the virus?

Garlic does have some potential for boosting immune health. I'm taking them to prevent more warts, not to remove anythng. Only taking 300 mg per day. Whether they are causing your wart to turn colors is unknown. Warts have been known to slowly go away by themselves as your own immune system fights the virus but I don't see the point of this. The quicker it is removed the better since you want to be wart free for 6-24 months. Why not go to a doctor to get it removed?
