HPV and Kissing

A month ago I went to my gyno and got a Pap done. Two days ago I recieved a call from my doctor saying I had high risk hpv..which i didnt even have symptoms for or still do. But A week ago I started dating my boyfriend who is waiting to have sex til he gets married. I respect this very much but lately he said he has had a sore throat, and I was wondering if I could have given him HPV from kissing?

if this is mono...mono is a life-long viral infection.  i do think there may be a way to get rid of it..but similar to aldara. perhaps an injection of an aldara-like immune modifer into the lymph nodes for a week long trial?  this may help the body slam the EBV (mono).  you're  spreading this **** when you don't even know it because the Epstein Barr Virus (MONO..yep..same thing (EBV = Mono)) can be reactivated and be asymptomatic and be spread through the saliva where it will fuse with another person's cell membrane and empty its mutations into their cells causing them to now have the EBV (mono).  Sore throat can definitely mean some type of herpes virus such as EBV, KSAHV, CMV, HSV1/2 etc.....(THERE ARE 8 or 9 TYPES OF HERPES VIRUSES). Be informed about your health!  The truth is coming out about these little buggers and it's coming out real hard and cold.  The good news is immune modification is quite promising. You are not necessarily cursed.  Just don't assume it is something you can brush off as "benign."  In actuallity the Epstein Barr Virus is indeed a "Silent Grim-Reeper Killer."  It absolutely will come up when you least expect it and slam you hard with Hodgkin's or Burkitt's Lymphoma...typically fatal cancers.  This EBV can also cause bouts of auto-immunity.......not good.

I don't think you should be overly concerned with giving your partner a kiss. You might want to hold off kissing somebody with mono, but otherwise, it is not worth changing your life for remote threats.

while your boyfriend probably didn't get HPV from kissing you, he could have gotten the Epstein Barr Virus, which explains the sore throat.  The Epstein Barr Virus is a very serious virus although doctors typically don't want to scare you and tell you this.  It causes a really bad cancer...lymphoma!!! (i.e. Hodgkin's disease possibly).  It doesn't absolutely cause this, but you have a VERY increased risk of developing lymphoma once you get the Epstein Barr Virus.  Please don't kiss and eat/drink after people! Saliva is a vector for highly infections diseases. I know kissing is often portrayed as a symbol of romance in movies/ TV shows etc., but it is really really dangerous and unhealthy from a molecular medicine standpoint.  Until we find vaccines or ways to attack the herpes family of viruses (which are typically transmitted through kissing), we are at risk for various types of cancers and dangerous mutations that can severely harm our health. As for the HPV, you must inform all sexual partners for at least the next year that you have it if you are planning on letting someone have vaginal sex with you.  Take Aldara and if you are under 30, you are likely to permanently rid yourself of HPV as long as you don't have any more sexual encounters.  Aldara helps your bodies immune system identify and kill off the virus. I don't think HPV is a virus that has too many hiding places like the herpes family of viruses has so as long as you are young and have a good immune system there is a chance at killing the bloody virus.  Hope this helps you understand the truth at the dangers behind "love" making.

HPV is a sexually transmitted disease, which means gential to gential. You cannot give him HPV from kissing.
