HPV Present or Not

HPV yes or no? I am 28 and had my first abnormal Pap smear which led to the test showing hpv positive about a month ago.  A couple days later the doctor performed the colposcopy to find no precancerous cells or abnormalities. They simply said ‘your normal.’ I went ahead and took a home hpv test that tested for the same strains to come back and read HPV was ‘non-detective.’ This was in a matter of 2 months time. Did the HPV exist at all?

Probably not.  The tests that women can take are sometimes inconclusive or your body fought the virus and the levels are too low for the test to accurately find.  You always go with your last test result.
