hpv-warts

several years ago i was diagnosed with a wart on my vagina.I was given a cream, applied it, it went away in about 2 days. I had a pap and tested negative for hpv but had a biopsy because the pap was abnormal. Biopsy turned out nothing. I got pregnant about a year later, about a month before the baby was due i noticed what seemed like another wart. told the doctor, she said she would do a pap after the baby was born but she did not think it was a wart. After the baby was born i had another pap, came out fine. I had to have a IUD removed, at that time i told  my midwife that i had not noticed any warts for over a year and she said the possibility of them coming back was next to none. Since i tested neg. for hpv and no warts, i have had unprotected sex with my partner for two years now and i have become worried that he may have a wart on his penis. I have had another pap that was abnormal but neg for hpv and a biopsy neg for hpv and cancer. Is it possible to have a wart virus not connected with hpv? His bump is on the shaft of his penis but looks nothing like a wart, looks like molluscum or folliculiites but from reaserch and pictures molluscum and some warts look very similar. I have noticed that one will go away and then later another will appear. Very worrried about this. does hpv and warts have to be connected or is there a test for just warts i can have done???
