HPV transfer with condoms?

Hello

I was diagnosed with HPV Nov 2007 and stopped having sex out of fear.  However, I have met a nice man and looking to become sexually active again.  I'm nervous about breaking the topic with him (my having HPV) but I'm trying to understand what are the risks of my infecting him.  The literature regarding transmission via condoms is confusing.  Can you clear this up?  Can I still transfer HPV to him even using condoms?  Or is there not enough research readily available to answer this question?

i have had hpv for 22 years, and was married for 18 years, during that time i had unpertected sex with my husband, and he never got hpv. he was lucky, i have been with my boyfriend for 14 years and he has never caught it, but that is not to say he cant, if you have gen, outside warts, during sex, you can infect your partner, also in the mouth, so watch having oral sex while you have them, and dont let them go, for that is how cer, cancer dev. be carefull and get you and him check reg,  good luck, if i can help anymore let me know, or if you have anymore ques. just ask

do u have HPV on cervix?or the genital warts?have u kept up with paps? Are HPV cells off cervix?is so that good but virus remains dormant in system. The doctors in this forum have stated that with condoms u reduce the transmission rate anywhere from 60-90%.Since it is a skin born virus u could still get it but as u see condom use greatly reduces spread. Now another important issue have u asked the nice man his history of std's?this is important to know for u don't want what he has...and i think important for u 2 know for ur own health if he's had anything.if he balks or get pissed u asked....not worth bothering over....a good indication the respect he has for his own health and urs......i learned the hard way with this!:)
