HSV

Hello how are you..

I recently had a physical exam and when my test results came back I was called back in the office.  My pap was fine with no STD's.  My HDL Cholesterol had an H next to it, I’m guessing that means HIGH and my Hemoglobin, MCV and MCH all had L next to it, I’m guessing LOW.  My concern is that when the HSV test was done at LabCorp the results were:

HSV TYPE 2-Specific Ab, IgG
HSV 2 IgG, Type Spec
Non Reactive

HSV TYPE 1-Specific Ab, IgG
HSV 1 IgG, Type Spec
Non Reactive

Then on the next page it says:

HSV, IgM 1/11 Combination
Results-   1.59 Ratio    H

I am so worried about this. Why would the HSV combo be highlighted and H when I was tested negative for HSV 1&2?  Why did this even occur? The PCP says I would have to come back in about a mouth and retest.  I didn’t have any comfort about why this may have appeared.  I have not had any symptoms of HSV.  I do have a pimple (closed) low below my lip, closer to my chin area that comes with the rest of some facial pimples.  Also when I had my physical exam, she said my vagina looked fine.  I was prescribed Metronidazole Vaginal Gel 0.75% during my visit for the physical exam.  I was having discharge, light odor and some itching for a while.  My PCP say’s it looked like Bacteria Vaginosis.  Could this have anything to do with me having HSV combo, some type of detection or something?  The last time I slept with anyone was around the 4th of July and before then was a few mouths leading up to July.  I did not use protection with the man in July.  I understand that was so dangerous to do! I have been making a lot of bad decisions regarding my sex life and that’s why I’m so worried about these test results.  Please help me understand this whole thing if you can.  I tried to give you all the information I could think of, I hope it’s helpful.

Well, this is not HSV forum... you should have posted on STD forum... I can tell you that you are conclusively negative for herpes and there is no need for further testing... I'm not sure, why you are asked to revisit the lab again after 1 month... You should see a doctor's advice for that...
