Have to go in for a second coloscopy.. questions

Hi-
Last year when I went in for my pap, it showed up as abnormal, for the first time ever, and they said it was HPV. I had the colposcopy, which came back completley clear and normal. Due to going out of the country, the colposcopy was 6 months after the initial pap, so they were okay with it and said it had cleared up on its own.
Recently I went for my annual, 6 months after the first colposcopy, and I just was told it was abnormal pap and I have to schedule a second colp..
I am just concerned and wondering what that means. Does HPV just always register as abnormal from now on, every pap I get? Will I have to get a colposcopy every time? This annual is a new doctor, as I recently moved, so do they just want to start off with their own colposcopy even though 6 months ago it was okay? I'm just unsure what this means. Is it bad that it came back abnormal again?? I am concerned and would like any input I can get.
Thanks!

I guess it COULD be a new strain, my bf and I broke up briefly and i was seeing someone else.
If it isnt a new strain, what does it mean that it came back???

hpv generally clears from the system within 6-12 mos.it lies dormant.....were u xposed to new strain perhaps?I've had colps,a LEEP 8-07 and clean pap 12-07 i have to go now every 4 mos.for a year to be sure it still comes up clean...if it does then i can  go once a year.It can return within a year.
