HPV and Chlamydia

Hi,
I had HPV (HSIL) from my pap in Oct '07. I was scheduled for a colposcopy that indicated no HPV. Later on, I was scheduled for a pap that came with HSIL HPV. Early May, I got tested for Chlamydia and GC and was told that I had bacteria indicating that I had Chlamydia in June, though I had no symptoms. However, I think I got re-infected by my boyfriend and although I have these symptoms like constant pain like I am in my periods, heavier periods for July and August that are a little off from my cycle; I have had a culture done and urine test both showing that I have white blood cell in my urine but no bacteria indicating Chlamydia. She put me on a 5 day cipro doze for the ‘infection’ she says I have (from the white blood cells and little bacteria in my urine) but that hasn’t helped at all. Could this be due to HPV? I have another colposcopy at the end of Sep but I'm worried that waiting my be doing some damage. Please advise. I have also read that a good immune system can clear the HPV virus out of your system, is that why it was never caught on my colposcopy? Please advice!

thanks for sharing that information. I'll wait for my colpo end of month and hopefully everything will be fine.

i do not believe the HPV would cause heavier periods....going off ones cycles some pain and heavier bleeding could indicate u being very stressed out about all of this naturally so!ask ur doc about that to be sure...i recently had a woman i know go thru the exact same thing.HPV is a tricky virus regarding when it decides to show up....and yes it can go away on its own.i was celibate for 10 years got in2 rels. and ended it 9-06...in 12-06 had irregular pap dysplasia no HPV!repeat pap 6 mos.later showed high risk HPV! i was very upset!i don't believe the colpo at end of this month will prolong any harm from HPV.....i had to wait 2 months to get LEEP surgery 8-07 and i'm happy to say i've had 4 paps every 4 months and their all clear and now i can go a year tween paps.hang in there!
