I can't get rid of this

I've had warts for about a year and a half.  I've used creams and have had them burnt off, all have have not worked.  The warts have returned within a couple of weeks.  The creams would do only clear half the warts rather than all.  Has anyone else experienced this and have they ever gone away?  I would love to go on with my life again rather than continue to be depressed about never being able to have a girlfriend again.

Yeah I'm pretty sure.  My urologist took a biopsy and said it pointed to HPV.  I've lost all hope on it being anything else

Thanks for your help Amie, I'll look into the cyrosurgery and hopefully it works.  Can't hurt to try...

In my opinion, some heathy people get reocurrant HPVs due to luck. Annoying as that sounds. But you never know, it may take a little longer. You must be loosing faith though which is understandable.

They do the freezing in the clinic, and then the warticon you apply yourself. I've heard good things about freezing, and warticon works by preventing HPV infected cells from multiplying and dividing. It may be worth a shot. Maybe your bodys just not reacting very well to the current treatments, and something different is best for you. It isn't fair that your urologist gives you the same treatment despite the fact you get bad results with it, next time you go in, explain that the treatments aren't working and you need to try something different. He may have some suggestions you haven't tried and if not you can ask about freezing.

You seem stressed about this, which is only natural, but that may be something effecting your immune system. You should try dating again, it is definately hard but usually the thought of it is worse than the reality. You may get some knock backs but they are people who have a small minded view of STDs due to the way society is so it isn't there fault I guess. If it gives you any hope, I met a guy and told him straight away about my condition and since then he has been my rock. He just accepts I was unucky and loves me anyway. I hope this happens for you too.

Yes, I am a pretty healthy person.  My immune system is pretty strong,  I may get a cold once during the winter.  Which is why I'm worried that they haven't gone away yet.

Freezing them and using warticon, is something I can do in the privacy of my own home?  My urologist just prescribed me, yet again, aldera.  And Im tired of trying the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.  It almost seems that the urologist just wants me out the door as soon as possible so I am willing to try ANYTHING.  Especially if I can do it at home.

Are you generally a healthy person? Do you take vitamins, excersize, drink water, get plently of sleep, in the past have you had an illness?

Are you quite stressed?

These all effect the immune system which inturn effect reocurance/severity of genital warts.

You could try freezing and then use warticon, I've heard that is quite a popular method. Remember 90% clear of the virus in 2 years and only 10% go on longer. Maybe you just need a little more time. As stressful as it is, you can have a girlfriend again. Warts are very common and most people have HPV. When you meet someone, you could advise them to get the vaccine which protects against HPV types 6 and 11 and two of the main high risk strains, which will mean likelyhood of transmision very low as types 6 and 11 cause most cases of warts. There are some suprisingly open minded people out there, you just have to find the right one.
