Guys i'm really scared too...i know your pain and wish i could share my thoughts with someone. I was diagnosed with genital warts yesterday...the pain!!! Omg the pain... They look horrible...i have lupus and im trying to get a doctor...still hasnt called back...im having fevers and omg...please pray for me...this was completely unintended....my bf of almost 8 years gave it to me..ive broke down and cried my eyes out already....i was given imiquimod cream but today it looks more swollen...i can't afford the hospital and i just started a new job.. . :'(
So, did the warts go away now? I ask because i had it since last year and I hoping can see an example showing a good outcome. Honestly I am losing hope. Especially when you found that the doctors who seeing you did not even give a damn to your concern.
I just got told that I am hpv postive....am I gonna live with have lupus and hpv....can I get rid of the hpv???
The genital warts will clear up on their own, or with a cream such as Aldera or you might need them lasered but you need to see your physician. Generally GW clears in 90% of people in 6-24 months. But Lupus may complicate your situtation. The are many stages of lupus, different stages of active or remission. It would be hard for anyone to advise you because with lupus sometimes the drugs that are taken can compromise your immune system and lupus also compromises your natural immune system. You need to speak with your Dr. and get plan. I understand your frustration but you need to see a good Doctor. Did anyone biopsy to make sure they are warts because there are many skin conditions that mimic genital warts.
Good Luck.
I'm sorry you are going through this. They have a cream they can give you to get rid of the warts.
I sympathize with your troubles right now. Unfortunately, your combo is probably beyond any experience or expertise of most people who post on this sight. Your best bet would be to pay $20 and post a question for the doctors on the Expert Forum. But your real course of action is to seek your doctors expertise or someone who is qualifed near you.
Remember though, that even with lupus, which I know nothign about, you still fall into the category of blowing this HPV thing out of proportion. Every single person who posts on this site is guilty of having done that. I'm confident that as time allows you to process your issues and you become properly educated and have some professional help that your problem won't affect you the same way. Good luck.
