I tested negative/ he said positive

Hello...my boyfriend and I broke up in May, in June he comes to my house and says he just came back from the doctor and tested positive for hpv and has warts. He says it had to have come from me as he hadn't slept with anyone but me in 7 yrs. We were together for almost two years. I do not have warts. I went to the doctor the next day and insisted he test me for every std known to man. I explained the situation and asked to please be tested for everything. All of my tests came back negative. Is it possible for him to have warts and not me? I know it takes time to show up, but if he has warts, does that mean I have it too, even though I tested negative for everything? He said that I could have tested negative but still have it. An undetectable strain? Please clear this up for me if possible. I am not sexually active now, but I would like to know. Could I still have hpv that causes warts and not know even after testing negative?

isnt a true method of testing a guy for HPV even if you do get it my understanding is it is curable just by having a strong immune system www.cdc.gov  has a ton of information on it

I have another question. Is there an incurable strain of hpv? This is all so confusing. I don't understand how I could have tested negative for everything..no presence of warts, now or ever. No std's or sti's. We are no longer together..but we were for about two years. Doesn't it make sense that if he has it, I would? He said he has the incurable strain. So confused.. please some ideas would be nice. Thanks
