Infection area for warts

If you acquired genital warts from having protected vagina sex would the warts appear at the the base of the penis where the condom did not cover or could the appear on the shaft even though it was covered? Been 8 weeks past exposure and I noticed a few white dots on the top of my shaft up closer to the head of the penis. They do not seem to be raised. Almost look like white specs. I think it may be my mind over examining but wanted to ask. Thanks

Condom covered areas can get warts too. Warts can appear anywhere there is genital skin.

Thank you for all of the information you have shared. I greatly appreciate it. I have read a ton of the threads on HPV and came across a lot of info saying that the warts would first appear in the non protected area and then can spread to the area that was covered. Are you saying that the warts could make their first appearance on the shaft or the area that was covered? If so why do some sex specialist state that the warts will not appear on the area that was protected by the condom? Sorry so many questions.  I'm just trying to learn more about the virus and there is a lot of conflicting info on the web!! Thanks again!

Because no one size fits all with HPV.  Some people are getting anal warts without ever having anal sex.  In addition, it is possible that masterbating may spread the virus from an infected part to other parts. It is also very possible that intimacy (the rubbing of a man's thigh against his lover's thigh) could also spread it. Did you cuddle at all?  Did you rub yourself against her?  If she had the virus on her thighs or private parts, some doctors think this is another way of getting infected. This is why when partner is infected and the other isn't, it is almost impossible for the non-infected partner to avoid it. Who doesn't rub genital skin during intimacy??

Basically, there are too many doctors who disagree with too many doctors. Every medical study comes up with different results. No one can explain things like why virgins get diagnosed with it or why a woman can go 20 years with negative results and suddenly get a positive result. Doctors often mention percentages based on studies but no doctor can predict who is in what percentage and who isn't and why.
