scared and need help..

To start I want to say.. I am hpv postive. I found out I was 4 years ago.

I recently did something I am so ashamed of. I drank one night and smoked pot with a friend who has RRP. I never do this.. I havent even smoked a cig in 13 years.

It has been one week since I did this and I have been having some major issues with my throat area. feeling swollen, scratchy and constricting. Something is really wrong. I went to urgent care and told them what I did.. They couldnt see anything wrong visually and put me on a zpac in case I had some kind of infection. The issue has not gotten better. I have been on the zpac for 3 days.

Could I have gotten RRP this way?

Could I have had hpv in my throat for years and not known it and this smoke make it inflamed/irritated?

I am terrified. I have been beyond anxious about all of this. I am so angry with myself. I am going to try to get into the ENT first thing tomorrow but I am so scared right now. Please help me if you can. Thank you.

Thank you Dr. Kaur , I went to an ENT. I explained everything to him and he did a scope type thing down my nose to my throat. He told me everything looked normal.  He had me make a few eeeee noises to look more.  He said it was very red but no growths.  

I do want to pass on I found out I have Barrett's esoph just a day after posting this.  I had a endoscopy done a few weeks ago.  

Is it possible to get RRP from what I did with her? I just smoked after her.  Absolutely nothing sexual. Hers is juvenile RRP.  

The ENT told me I do not have this.  That he would stake his MD on it.   I just don't want him to push it to the side knowing I have Barrett's.  He did no swabbing or anything.

I have calmed down but I am still nervous about all of it.  

I'm taking tons of vitamins and I have changed my diet 100% to get my immune system up.

I have children.  I'm terrified of them even drinking after me now.  If I got this from her this way can my children get this from drinking after me? Above all I want to protect them.

My throat feels a bit better.  I am trying to not be so anxious about it now.  Hoping.  Praying to God it's just done kind of fluke bad infection and will go away.  I finished the zpac yesterday.

Hello,
RRP shows the symptoms of upper airway obstruction generally in the early stages. Commonest presenting feature is hoarseness of voice with other symptoms of voice changes, foreign body sensations, cough, dyspnea and stridor.

If there is any possibility of RRP then get a PCR for HPV done.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
