Is it HPV or HERPES?

I have been diagnosed with HPV warts for over a year.  The first time I had a breakout, they were on my lower labia area and they were like a bunch of hard pimples.  They appeared after I started taking a birth control pill and didn't go away until I quit taking it altogether.  Well I haven't had sexual intercourse for almost a year and only had 2 little pimple like bumps.  Well I recently had a painful UTI that has cleared up, and it was stressful. Since I recently started having sex with my new boyfriend, during the UTI I started breaking out with something down there, white sores, that could be very well HPV, but I don't remember them ever being this sore, they are right on the opening of my vagina, they itch are sore and are white.  I'm scared it might be Herpes but I know I have warts, and they can cause burning/itching.  But has anyone else has an experience with painful/itching HPV sores?  I really hope it's not Herpes, I'm just fine with my two warts!  HPV has actually not been very bothersome, almost unnoticeable, but now this breakout if it it HPV is painful and itchy and I can hardly even sleep with my legs closed it is so noticeable.  It *****, help!  I am going to the clinic next week and I'm so stressed!

Thank you I was freaking out, I've since noticed that I'm getting dots on my faces, that don't look cold-sore-ish they just itch, so I'm thinking I'm might've accidentally come into contact with some poison ivy or oak and got it on my groin, but I'm still going to go to the hospital and they can tell me!  Thanks for replying, though I just neeeded someone to say something to me!!!!!

Genital warts do not cause itchiness, pain, or soreness. At most they are a nuisance and may cause some discomfort. They are not pimple-like and can not be popped. There is no fluid inside. If there is fluid inside these bumps and you suspect herpes, you need to have a culture taken for hsv infection. Free clinics are not funded to perform hsv blood tests but they can perform cultures.
Good luck!
