Last week I noticed a bump on my scrotum that looked suspiciously like a wart (I haven't had genital warts previously). The skin around it was itchy and I scratched it a bit - which made it bleed a little.
I went to the Sexual Health clinic the next day where a doctor took a look at it but wasn't sure if it was a wart or not. They suggested freezing it with the gun a little and said if it went bright white it would be an indicator that it could be a wart.
After the doctor zapped it she said it didn't react as she would have expected had it been a wart and that she wasn't convinced. However she told me to come back in a week or two if it didn't go away.
It's now 4 days later and it's very much worrying me - as it looks to me more and more like a wart. I tried the acetic acid test on it and it did turn noticeably white (and also stung while the solution was applied) and this is worrying me a lot. Is this test reliable or suggestive that what I have is a wart or is the false positive so high as to render it useless?
I'm trying to get an appointment at another clinic this weekend but in the meantime extremely anxious about it.
Thanks,
