Question about possible HPV symptoms?

I am a very healthy, young, individual, I eat well and do not get sick frequently.

I have only had one sexual partner, my current fiancé. We have been together for over 2 years.

Within the time that we have been together I have been hospitalized twice. Once for removal of my appendix and the other because I had a miscarriage. Both times (and times during my pregnancy) I was tested at several offices and the hospital for the usual urine and blood tests they do. All of which came back negative for anything that should be of concern. During my visit for my appendix they also tested for several STD's all of which came back negative.

So a few months ago I noticed what seemed to be a small tear or a bump at the bottom of my labia on one side (hard to describe location). At first I thought maybe the skin was torn because my fiancé and I had been having rough sex VERY frequently the past few days and it was very slight discomfort, nothing that I couldn't handle.

Now a few months have passed and the irritation has subsided completely but I'm left with what feels like a very very small lump of spiky warts. They feel like extra skin and feel sensitive to the touch but not very painful. I let them go without second thought for several months but after they did not go away for these past 3 months I started doing research online and found that they are most likely a sign of HPV.

My fiancé has had several sexual partners before me which I'm aware of but I'm curious if the appearance of these warts is because he has had sex with someone else while we've been in a relationship? Or is it possible that he has been carrying this from before we were in a relationship and I'm just now getting infected and showing symptoms?
