A few years ago I had an aggressive HPV infection in my eye, it grew as horny-type warts that were not visually appealing and led to a great deal of stress at the time. Eventually the doctors tried physical removal, which failed badly. But then moved onto an eyedrop based fluid that I can't recall the name of - except that I remember reading up on the internet about it and being a little bit freaked when it was an immuno-boosting solution used with HIV patients to boost their immune system.
Recently ( 4 years later) I seem to have a runny nose and often get headaches in the front part of my brain. I don't have any visual signs of infection.. is it possible that there is a deeper infection underneath the skin? and what could I do about it. I guess what i'm asking is is there a blood test for HPV infection? or any over-the-counter medicines available.
I probably should point out that I have a particularly stressful lifestyle. I am an engineering manager with high levels of stress, I am also a long-distance runner and I exercise heavily 3-4 times a week (I may run two 10mile runs per week, together with a few either swimming, squash or football sessions). So possibly the combination of stress and exercise at least isn't helping.
Let me know any thoughts.. thank you
