hpv is sneaky enough that it DOESN'T need penetration of any kind..just skin to skin contact( and we all know that if you're having sex bodies tend to touch in all different ways/places). Unfortunately.. If your partner has an active infection it's possible...however from what I've read it is difficult to transmit hpv orally.

01) Is there a possibility of contracting genital warts (or manifestation of genital HPV) performing oral sex on a man? If not, how could I have acquired the disease without having any penetration?

wiping the anus doesn't wipe away the virus..the odds are low  but if your having sex w/ soomeone who has an active infection you're always taking a risk

Yes. Quite low.
Seeing that it is contacted by shedding and the anus is wiped off regularly after going poop especially.

But that is a relatively low chance, right?

if you performed oral sex on someone who has an active HPV infection then it's possible that you could've contracted it...consequences are that you could have hpv orally.

I should have specified - someone who has peri-anal HPV (active)

the odds are low on contracting HPV from someone thru oral sex if their infection/virus is active..but there always is a chance.
