Yeast infection and HPV

I was diagnosed with HPV 14 months ago cos of 2 anal warts. They were so small and I hadnt even realised about them. In fact, what took me to the doctor was vaginal itching and discomfort. I've been clean of warts for 6 monts now and the itching's still here. I've been treating it with different medications my gyno gave me but it doesnt go away. Do you think it's still a symptom of HPV and wont go away till I'm rid of it? Or maybe it's cos my vaginal inmunity is still weak cos of HPV and will need some more time to recover? Thank you very much in advance. Best to everyone.

Thanks a lot for your response. I was tested on all other STDs when diagnosed with HPV and tests gave a negative result. I'm getting better but still have itching and dryness.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Itchy vagina can be due to a number of causes. First of all it can be due to allergic reaction or contact dermatitis to your undergarments, sanitary napkins or tampons, soaps etc. There is no change in the colour or smell of discharge in this case.

Secondly, It can be due to STD’s but there is a change in the discharge in this case. You need to get it evaluated from your gynecologist.
Keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove.Avoid any kind of cosmetics. For the itching take some antihistaminic like Benadryl
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
