Please answer regarding salicyclic..

So I was reading and read that salicylic acid can help reduce warts.. and as it takes a while to be seen by my local std clinic for treatment I opted for another treatment.. I recently started putting some neutragena salicylic acid acne treatment on the couple of bumps and I don't know if it's me not looking so hard and close or if it's working, but they seem to reducing in size and number. I only visibly notice 3 or 4 now when it was close to 7 or 8. They seem to be drying up after I apply it.

Is there any truth behind this application as a treatment or am I naturally fighting it off?
Also, are there any side effects for using it there.. It's only in the pubic region

A more concentrated solution of salycitic acid is often used on common warts. I don't know if there are any side effects to use, but genital skin is very sensitive, and home treatment often causes more problems than it helps.

I would recommend waiting to see your doctor before treatment.
