Possibe HPV Exposure...Help

Ok. I am a female that was dating another female for almost 4yrs. Recently I found out that she has warts. I looked at her anal area and she had about 6 of them but all were separate. She also had about a couple of the warts on her vulva. She got examined and the doc said it might be HPv warts. She got the PAP test done but she is still awaiting the results. I to went to the GYN to get checked and the doc found no signs of warts in my genital area. My telationship with this girl was purely almost nonsexual. I am a virgin and we never had sex and I never gave her oral. She has not touched my genitals. I did only finger her but that was a couple of months ago. I did not notice when she the warts as I did ask her if she noticed anything weird before and she said she started noticing the warts while on antibiotics. 1. Could I have been exposed to HPV virus if I had only just fingered her and then washed my washed my hands after? 2. Since I did not touch any of my genitals, will I develop HPV despite the gyn I went to saw no signs of HPV. 3. Will I get HPV om my finger?

My ex got her results back from a biopsy they took from the warts. It came back as Squamous Papilloma. They tested the wart for cancer but it was benign. The pap smear that she had was tested as not having enough specimen. She went to the gyni about a day ago and he asked if she was sure that I didn't have it. I told her again that my gyni checked me out and saw no visible signs. From what I read about the squamous papilloma is that it is an HPV virus and it is not highly contagious and that it has part of the strains of HPV 6 or 11. She has the low risk as it did not have cancer. The squamous papilloma can on any part of the body. I have gotten tested even for other STDs and the tests were all negative. Do you think I might have HPV in the future even though I was with my ex for 3 1/2 years. I mean I know I could be exposed to it again by someone else.

The first part of this is accurate. GENITAL TO GENITAL contact is the necessary avenue. Receiving oral sex from someone who has GENITAL warts will not infect you unless they have genital warts in the oral mucosa which is rare in people with a normal immune system.

Touching your partners genitals with your hands or Vice versa will not spread the virus. Even if they have warts on their hands or fingers, it is a different strain of the virus than the type that cause gw.

HPV needs genital skin to genital skin contact. Some people with the virus have it under their fingernails.  The expsoure you had is so very low risk that the chances you will get it are near zero.  I would not worry about it.

Your female partner should get them removed. Virgins have been known to get it without having sex. This is usally from oral sex or fingering someone who has it or being fingered by someone who has it. If you love this person, then realize that sex is inevitable and you will get the strains she has.
