NGU or HPV?

Today I went down to my local health dept for a std check, I usually go every 6 months just to be on the safe side. It had been a year since my last visit and since then I've only had unprotected sex with two females. One was my ex and one was a new girl. When my ex was pregnant with my son she had an abnormal Pap smear and they found HPV. I was informed that since I'm a male there was no way to test for HPV. Before sex with the new girl I informed her it was possible I had hpv and she said she had abnormal Pap smear for it as well and didn't feel it necessary to use protection. Long story short its been about a month since I was last sexually active with the new girl and upon my test today they found 5 or more white blood cells and determined it was NGU, which I was then treated for it. The new girl swears up and down shes only been with me and I know for certain I've only been with her. So, my question is could HPV play a part in the reason there were so many white blood cells?

Hello,
Elevated WBC count is often found in infection and HPv is not responsible for it. Given your history, NGU may have been responsible for the elevated WBC count. NGU is caused by non gonorrheal infections like Chlamydia, Ureaplasma urealyticum, Haemophilus vaginalis, and Mycoplasma genitalium.

Because there are often no symptoms, people who are infected may not know that they are having this infection.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Hi, Hpv is not in the blood but on the skin so your white blood count would have nothing to do with hpv. NGU is a bacterial infection of unknown source and could be from mouth bacteria.
