I'm not sure why you had an HPV test with a normal Pap. It is against the guidelines and should not be done. Disregard what you read, cervical cancer is very rare and you don't get it just because you are pregnant. Actually studies show that you decrease your risk of cervical cancer by becoming pregnant before you are 30, very minimally but you do decrease the risk. Take your pre natal vitamins and enjoy your pregnancy!

I presume you are over 30 because the HPV test is only supposed to be done with a normal Pap in women over 30. A double negative means you are not due for a Pap for 3 years; however since you are pregnant they will want to do one 1-2 two months post delivery. HPV does not mean you will get cancer, actually very few cases of HPV progress to cancer. So relax and enjoy your pregnancy. Women under regular gynecological care rarely get cancer, just have your Paps when you are supposed to. Good Luck.
