HPV vaccine

When does the vaccine start working? If a girl gets her first shot, but not her first/second yet (you have to wait for some months before getting another shot) is she still protected? Or does it take the whole 6 months?

Since I've posted this I've heard now that the second shot causes a substantial amount of protection after a couple of months.  I would still suggest the 6 month mark, for those who are incredibly cautious about catching HPV.

Hi, just an update. I talked to my nurse practitioner today and she told me that studies show by the second shot, 82% of the tested were fully immunized and the third served as a booster.

As far as I know you must complete the series of shots and wait 6 months for them to be fully effective.
