You wouldn't get HPV in this way, its a very very low exposure. People usually notice warts within 6 months, however there is no time limit and it could happen long after that. Yeah I think you are being very hard on yourself, this isn't enough exposure worth worrying about because not only is the exposure extremely low, but you aren't sure if he's ever had HPV in the first place. Of course he could be telling the truth, who knows. Warts don't suddenly appear and then go away within a day, it is more gradual than that. It could well be a skin tag as they are often mistaken for GW. If you do have GW, it is much more likely to be from another exposure in which you had at least genital to genital contact and more likely penetrative sex. Skin to skin means just that, direct contact with an infected genital area with your genitals, or oral sex.
