Strange bumps

Hi, I have a few questions for you concerning what seem to be skin tags on my genital area. To begin, I haven't had sex in 5 months, and I haven't had unprotected sex in almost a year and a half. Also, I had a pap smear and STD test in January and they all came back good & clean. It was about that time I started using an electric razor because my skin is extremely sensitive; I still get razor bumps with the electric razor, just not as bad. Not long after I developed flesh colored bumps. Some are solitary, others are grouped. One set actually has almost a white/pearly color. They don't itch very often. They haven't ulcerated. The only thing that comes out is blood. I also started my Gardisil vacinations in January. Does this sound like something I should be concerned about? Could the electric razor cause this? I stopped using it about a month ago and the bumps are still there. The razor is not the best in the world considering it did cause bleeding, the teeth aparantly scratched me. I'm curious about how long after exposure would a form of HPV show up. Also, the bumps haven't changed much since they first appeared, is that a good thing? I'm really confused about all of this and anything you could offer would be great.

HPV can be very elusive, it is possible your pap or hpv test did not detect it, but it was still present. What you need to do is visit a dermatologist, and have him/her take a biopsy of the area to know for sure.

But wouldn't it have shown up in the STD test?

visable symptoms of HPV usually show up within 6 months of exposure, though there are many cases where people go years symptom-free before warts pop up.
