TONGUE ISSUES??

Ok questions>>>I was recently (like in october) diagnosed with chlamydia...i have only had 2 sex partners..and my partner did get treated as well as me...now you know they say that antibiotics cause yeast infections...well i was wondering if that and of course being a 'pre-diabetic' which are two "risks" for recurring yeast has anything to do with my concern...
Just last week i noticed a white coating on my tongue, now i've had this on and off for years since i was a little kid like if i ate something too hot it would burn or whatever..well it doesnt burn but it is white...and it's freaking me out because everything that i plug in online for white tongue comes back with some HIV or Candida...so how do you know if it is candida? I guess is what im wondering and am i over paranoid since i got diagnosed with HPV thinking that everything is STD related lately, i have been tested and come back negative..btw...

I would almost be 100% willing to bet that this is thrush (Oral Candida Infection).  This would be caused by antibiotics, and is quite common (as are yeast infections in women caused by antibiotics).  I've never read of HPV causing a tongue coating.  In other words, I wouldn't worry.  I would suggest having your doctor prescribe some Diflucan.  This should clear up the yeast infection and the thrush.

I'm confused. You were diagnosed with HPV or chlamydia?  They are two very different things.  HPV is viral and chlamydia is bacterial.

You most likely have a yeast infection on your tongue from the antiboitics.  If it lasts longer than 2 weeks, see a dr.  They will probably recommend gargling with warm salt water or maybe prescription mouth wash.

Whatever it is, it's not serious.
