Use rubbing alcohol to prevent HPV?

I am a gay male.  I always insist on using condoms for both oral and anal sex, but I know it's still possible to get HPV because of skin contact.

My question is, would it help if I rub alcohol or hand sanitizer in my pubic hair and on my scrotum after sex in order to prevent HPV?  Will alcohol kill HPV?

correct - at this point you would have to pay for them out of pocket - insurance wouldn't cover them at your age :(

any particular reason why hpv is your concern at this point?

also have you had type specific herpes igg blood testing done as well as syphilis testing?

I would like to get the Gardasil shots but I'm in my 40s and I think doctors will only give it to young people.

oh don't do either of what you asked about!!! your genital /anal skin is very delicate and you using either of these products will only irritate your skin and make you more prone to std's in general :(

did you have your gardasil shot series for hpv?

I've never read that anywhere. If you are that fearful, wear boxer shorts or ask your partner to wear them too. Some guys wear a dental dam near the base of their penis since condoms don't go that far down. Basically, cover up as much genital skin as you can. And never cuddle naked too. This may be bad for true intimacy, but we know that genital skin to skin contact is how this spreads.
