What have i got?

Why do GUM clinics in the UK not tested for all STD. There are a  number of STDs that are very common including mycoplasma genitalium, HPV and NSU. I have been tested for the standard ones named below and came back negative. What scary is I have urine infection as does my ex girlfriend and my new partner but I was told urine infections cant be passed on from person to person. Perhaps I have passed n something to my new girlfriend but my tests came back negative. Should I pay a private clinic to get tested for the ones named above since GUM clinic do not test for them. Its strange how two girls have same including me have urine infection. Please dont judge me for this as these girls have not crossed over but I should have been checked before starting new relationship.

What should I do? Could this be HPV

Tested for:
chlamydia
gonorrhoea
syphilis
genital herpes
HIV
Hep

If you can get access to the AB, then try and get it and finish the course. After that, you could test again to see if you are not having the bug anymore.

Ok so gum clinic said that they don't test for it and nowhere in UK does. It's up to me if I take treatment or not. As far as they are aware I can continuo have sex as normal with my partner. Private clinic advise against this and tell me to take treatment.

What the hell do it do?

Well at least you know the bug thats bugging you....it can be very depressing or troublesome not knowing whatever reason of a lingering problem ie persistent irritation from GUI   .. so m not sure if i should consider its lucky of you to know the reason to yr ailment :)

Hi.. yes, as far as I know it is a type of STD, although not really a classical type one.

Did you feel any pain on the genital area..any other symptoms besides urethritis?

Sadly HPV isnt really tested for men.. I think docs thought that it will clear away by itself.. if I remember it correctly, some articles stated 90% of cases will clear HPV infection by the 2nd year.. but Im not sure of that.. I had nearly 1 1/4 yr GUI (genitourinary infection) problem.. with intermittent urethritis.. cystitis..etc.. but only recently I come to thought that my affliction is most likely viral, ie HPV as it is responding to the usual herbal treatment (thuja)

Here's what the Doc Forum says about this. You can clear the virus and not be infectious at some point, but then you can become infectious again. Read what this link below says. It will explain this virus.
