contagious after 28 years?

I contracted hpv 28 years ago. I was treated then and have not had any visible symptoms in 27 years. (While I was married, my husband had one visible bump/spot on his penis and went to the doctor. They did not test him for hpv and just applied liquid nitrogen and the the bump disappeared. This bump appeared 5-6 years after we began seeing each other and having frequent unprotected sex.). I am recently divorced and am thinking about getting involved sexually with someone. I have told him that I have hpv. What are the risks (after 28 years) of infecting him with hpv? Thank you. (We both have been tested for all other stds and we both have tested positive for hsv2. Other than that and 'my' hpv we both are clean).

All pap smears have been normal for 24, 25 years. Thank you for your input...hoping for a response from a doctor. Are you a doctor or a nurse?

Low risk, no risk. What are your recent pap smear results like?  Women can be tested for HPV.  If you have a strong immune system, you are not contagious.
