Ok, as far as i know, only the high risk HPV can be detected on blood tests when they are active. Therefore an actual wart causing strand being low risk, cannot be detected, they can only be diagnosed on biopsy.
In my opinion, i would go with what the doctor says...stear on the safe side (dont have unprotected sex for at least 6months), if more pop up then you know it was more than likely a wart...if just the one comes back, go to a dermatologist. If you never see it again, move on!
A doctor told me the other day, most ppl have their initial break out and once that stops and all is clear for a few months, most never see them again! So far, in my case, this is true, going on 3yrs and counting:)!
Good luck!

I wouldn't worry about it. That post was mostly garbage.

Did you mean a tag can be white at the tip or a wart?

"the tag will become white at the tip"

i'm confused..HPV isn't a blood virus/infection..so they couldn't have taken blood and tested you. Anyway..testing for HPV is such an INACCURATE way of seeing who has it or not since you're body can suppress it even though it'll always be in your system. If you had a venereal wart then you have a low risk strain of hpv.

A wart can look a few different ways.
Yes it can look like a skin tag, and usually the tag will become white at the tip, and this sheds to spread it. However your anus gets wiped of often enough this probably won't build up.

They can look similar to cauliflower is is why they say they cauliflower.

And they can look like a small bump. Flesh colored. Like a goose bump only rarely pointed on the tip.
When attacked with treatment, they can become more aggressive and start to pop out more. When removed a smart doctor will get in deep enough to get the root. Thus there is nothing left to warn the others they are under attack, and to fight back by coming on full force.

I think it could be a wart and it could be a tag. They look so much the same when the wart is in a tag. And once in a while a doctor want to do an easy surgery to boost his pay, when it doesn't have to be done. Thus a chance it was a tag only and he said it was a wart. Either way, it is gone, and be glad. Wash your anus good with cool water in shower using your hand every day. In case it was a wart, the virus is in you now to stay. And your immune can keep it in check much better when they are just starting out and the number is little. Once you get a lot of them, it becomes much harder for your body to fight them all off.
