Genital Warts, confusion

Ok so according to the docs on the forum warts  cannot appear withi in 1 week of exposure. They at least 2 months and the average is 6 months, but in some cases over a year. This is confusing because they also the virus can be cleared by 6 months. I have only had one exposure that could of caused warts and they showed up 5 days after. Anybody else have them show up this early

Sorry to hear about all the confusion surrounding your diagnosis, that can't have been easy. I'd just like to say DR HH was probably just giving you his answer based on what is more likely. Warts were confirmed for you within 4 days of exposure but that is probably quite rare and so he gave you the most likely, plausible information.

It does suck but it will be okay. It isn't half as bad as it sounds, give it time and you will see the virus in such a new light and you can always use this site for support/information when your having a bad day!

I am pretty sure my first outbreak was within four days too.  Oh well, what can you do now.  What can you do now?  I'd start by recognizing it's not the end of the world.  You'll be dealing with this for around a year.  Really, it's not a big deal I'm telling you.  There is no need to over check your junk, just give it a good once or twice over every week or two.  When you find a new bump or bumps, go in and have them dealt with.  They may look like they might scar, but they won't.  Also, I'd look into the option of having pedophyllin applied to the entire shaft and stuff.  I am a believer that it is a great idea.  If three months go by and you don't detect any more warts, you may start to feel hopeful that you are out of the woods.  At six months you may celebrate that you will not be having any more at all.  At this point it is okay to put the whole story behind you.  There is no need to inform future partners that you once had an HPV infection.  Good luck bro.  It sucks in the moment, but it's only a moment all in all.

Well Dr HH is DEAD WRONG! Warts can appear in just 4 days. Confirmed with a biopsy. This sucks

went to the dermatologist he said he couldn't tell so they did biopsy should here back next week. He also couldn't give me a clear cut answer as to how soon they could appear.

That's kind what I figured. I looked through some older questions and Dr HH seems to be all over the place with his time frames. Says 2 weeks is the earliest to one person. Then 2 months to another person. I guess no one really knows.

It may be possible for warts to appear that soon.  My warts came from one of two possible partners.  One was 6 weeks after exposure and our sex was always protected (although I could have easily gotten it from foreplay).  The other was two weeks after exposure (she was a good girl who'd just experimented with a random hook up on Craigslist).  I feel like I got it from the second girl so that'd put my wart appearance at 4 days to two weeks.  Every body is different so I'd go with the biopsy. Peace of mind is worth the money.

Set an appointment at dermatologist to get biopsy. Wondering if it's just a waist of time and money. Is it really that impossible for warts to appear that soon?

Yes definitly only experience that could of gotten them.  When they first appeared I went to clinic and said they are most likely warts so they wanted to acid treatment. That was 6 months ago. They still seam to be there just smaller. They are flat and smooth and just slightly elevated same color as my skin. You can barley see them unless you put vinegar on them, then they swell and turn white.

Never heard of anyone on any site that I have ever read getting them within a week of exposure. The virus can be cleared 6-24 months after the warts are removed and there are no more symptoms. Not in the 6 months before they first appear. Are you saying that this was your only sexual encounter (oral, hand job, vaginal)?  Just rubbing genitals on genitals or even some infected person's legs on your genitals is enough to pass the virus.
