hpv-1

My daughter is diagnosed with hpv1? is that like flat warts? I am told it should go away on its own and a person immune system fights it. Are there any special foods or herbs that may help this process along? Is it true that in most cases it does go away on its own?

HPV 1 are plantar warts. They should clear up in time. Do what your Dr. says. She should cover her feet when walking around communal showers at pools etc. and try to keep her feet as dry as possible. She needs to a eat well balanced to keep her immunity up--no special foods but you may want to give her a multi vitamin also. This site is for HPV related to genital warts and HPV related to cervical cell changes and cancer. The posts above did not understand that you were talking about HPV 1.

Welcom to the HPV forum Grace :)

We do refer to HPV as HPV :) I think you meant with the (1)

Building a healthy immune system is an important part of dealing with HPV. First no smoking, limit drinkin, eat healthy and exercise.

There are some vitamines that are great for the immune system, cell change and warts. Because we are all different it is best to decide which ones to take either by visiting a good health food/vitamin store or talking to her doc. Bacially you need look at any other illnesses or medications you take when deciding on what natural suppliments are good for her.

Usually symptoms will pass within 24 months. Treatment warts early is good because that typically means less treatments. Discuss treament options with her doc if she hasn't already.
