HPV contagious after cleared?

Eleven years ago I had mild dysplasia (abnormal pap).  I was diagnosed with HPV 6 and HPV 11.  I had one episode of genital warts.  The warts were treated.  I haven't had them since.  Also, I have not had an abnormal pap since.  All of my pap smears have been perfectly fine since then and no sign of warts.  I've been tested and scraped every 6 months for the past 11 years and I have not had any signs or symptoms of HPV.  Also, I took the HPV test 2 years ago and it came back negative.  Also, I was in a 2 year relationship and a 4 year relationship, and neither person I was involved with contracted HPV or genital warts.  They have since moved on, and their new partners have NOT contracted the virus either.    Is it safe to say that I have cleared the virus and am no longer contagious?  Many reputable websites say that the virus is eradicated or cleared after 6 months to 2 years.  Does that mean it is no longer contagious?  What does "cleared" mean exactly?

Thank you!

You might have also had some other stains and not known it. Sometimes people do have flare ups from HPV strains. I wouldn't put any worry into it. It is great you had such a easy time and were able to move on with life. In the future you are at risk for strains you have not had so be careful unless you are in a trusting relationship.

You can assume you are not contagious and you only need your yearly paps and dental exams to just be safe with your health.

I think it's safest to say you are cleared of HPV6 and HPV11.

Remember, 80% of all adults get HPV at some point in their life. And most of them never ever see the symptoms because it's mostly high risk HPV.

The panic about HPV is mostly panic. It's been part of humanity for at least since Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome. Most likely thousands of years before that. And no hysteria.

However, it is a smart idea to stay monogamous. I may be on the very paranoid side, but I will only have protected sex for two years into a new relationship.

I read some of the past posts.  I guess it's safe to assume I am cured of HPV.  It's been many years and I haven't tested positive for anything.
