hpv, difference between on hand and genital?

hi there
about 2 years ago i lost my virginity to a boy who had been with many girls
since then i have worried if he has given me hpv but i never had any warts, and i had 2 pap smears since then and the cells were normal on both and i had no warts on my cervix...

anyway that boy left me quickly and i met a different boy that i have been in a relationship with for a year now...

my boyfriend now though recently developed a wart on his finger. im wondering if he could have gotten that wart from touching my vagina???

-->basically i am wondering if it is possible for hpv to spread from genitals to someones hands?

The strains of HPV that will infect a hand are almost always different from those that infect genitals.
