HPV or what?

About three weeks ago for the first time I thought it would be a good idea to use facial moisturizer with collagen/elastin on my penis.  The next day I woke up and noticed two bumps on the upper shaft area on the underside.  One bump was noticeable to the touch and slightly raised, about the size of a pin-head or smaller and the other about half of a pin-head size and I could only notice it visibly under a flash light.  Both were slightly reddish, and appeared more skin colored, but possible blood under the skin caused it to be reddish.  They are hard, non-painful, non-itchy and have been there since.

I went to Planned Parenthood to do a free std test and get an exam because I was concerned a few days ago since they stayed the same size and never went away as I thought it just may be irritation.  I explained I had used lotion and noticed bumps the following day, but basically she said they looked like low-risk HPV and she just applied an acid treatment and sent me on my way.

Since they are gone now I cannot get a second opinion from a dermatologist, but I wanted a second opinion.  The last time I had sex with about 5-6 months prior and just once.  Before that I was in a several year relationship.

I may have used excessive lotion and I feel as though I may have developed some sort of bacterial/fungal infection since the location is where little ventilation may have resulted in leaving the area damp from the lotion for an extended period of time.  Also, the lotion is only for the face which may have caused issues as I have had hives develop on my arm prior possibly due to the lotion, but I am not positive.  I also have very sensitive skin resulting in hives from the sun as well as consistent year round dry skin.

Thank you

Well mine never turned white with vinegar but are def warts. Mine also looked different after the acid treatment. I could see them better.

Don't worry, just get a biopsy if they return. You can't go back from here, you can only go forward.

The larger bump looked exactly like a fordyce spot, but reddish and inflamed. There was a definite circular shape under the skin and it was hard to the touch.  It didn't look like a wart, but rather something inflamed under the skin.

The bumps did turn white, but only the areas where I had kind of picked at.  I think there was some scar tissue and that was the only thing that turned white as this would react with the acid.  I did a vinegar test on a third small bump that I noticed, which wasn't as red and didn't turn white when I applied vinegar.  I think the only reason the bumps had turned white in the first place was because I kind of tried to take care of them myself so to speak so it reacted with the scar tissue.

After the acid treatment 3 days ago the larger bump is scarred over and hard.  Kind of looks like a blister that popped and scarred over.  The other smaller one kind of looks like someone put a dab of acid and it burnt away the skin but it flesh colored now with no redness.

I have fordyce spots both in that general area around where I was circumcised.  They are very small and I can only see them when I pull my skin very tight.

My bumps did look extremely different then yours as well as all of the other images I searched online.  They also looked different when the acid treatment was used.  I should have gotten a second opinion prior to the treatment because now I'm worried.  Still unconvinced especially after the vinegar test earlier on a third possible wart didn't turn it white.

When the acid treatment was applied did the bumps turn white? I was told that mine did and this confirmed that I did have HPV warts. You can look at my pics to see what mine looked like but being female ours would be a bit different based on the dif types of skin.

Wait and see if you get more then you can get a biopsy to be sure. Warts usually show up 3 to 6 months post exposure. You should use protection if you do have sex until 3 to 6 months has past just to be sure you are not passing HPV on. Really use protection always to prevent more serious STD's. If you are young enough you could get the vac's. They might help prevent any HPV strains you have not been exposed to.

No more face lotion on your penis. ;) The lotion might have caused these bumps or it might have just made you aware they were there. I would think a rash would have some pain or itch where as warts usually don't, but can. Mine never hurt or itch.
